The traditional view on intelligence has been to focus on people with academic abilities. These abilities are very important, and people who have those academic abilities are certainly intelligent. Yet, it is possible to think about intelligence in a new way. In this new way we can identify many other types of intelligence.
A professor at Harvard University in the USA has identified at least 8 ways that people can be intelligent. It's likely that some people will favour one intelligence while others may favour more than one.
